A Couragous Man

Russell Bean was in court for mutating his child's ear. He did this because he was not home for several months. When he came back home his wife was pregnant with a child that was not his. As soon as the child was born he cut off a piece of the child's ear so he could tell him apart from his real children. in 1798 Jackson was a judge making his circuit when he stopped in a village to preside over the small Tennessee village's court. His court case with Russell Bean went as follows.  Bean cussed out on the court and ran out of the building with a knife and a pistol. he threatened that anyone who tried to bring him in would get killed by him. When the sheriff failed to bring him in a crowd gathered around. Then the crowd saw a stranger come out of the courthouse wielding two pistols. as he got closer he lowered the guns on Bean and the crowd saw who it was. it was Andrew Jackson the very judge Bean cussed out on. Jackson the tough man who in the face of danger spat on it. Anyway Jackson captured Russell Bean and brought him in to the sheriff. When later asked why he gave up to Jackson Bean said "When I looked into Jackson's eyes I saw shoot. but when he looked into the eyes of everyone else in the crowd he saw no shoot." He thought to himself "It is about time to sing small."And so he did.

Conquerer of Florida

If you vote Jackson into office he is sure to expand our country. Look at how he went above and beyond when he was asked to remove the Seminoles from Georgia. He conquered all of Florida. By seizing Florida's capitol Pensacola and two other major cities, Jackson had control over the entire state. He added over 52,200 square miles to the country. This show how confident and tough Jackson can be. An amazing leader Jackson once again led his troops to victory over another country. By comquering Florida, the only counties the Spanish had left in the Eastern hemishpere were Cuba and Puerto Rico.

Hero Of New Orleans

On January 8, the day commemerated as the victory day of the Battle of New Orleans there were many losses. The British had two generals killed in battle and one severly wounded. Soldiers described battle field action as confused and hazardous, in the dark hours of  that foggy morning. The British suffered over 2,000 casualties where Jackson only lost 71 men. The British Privates that American Patriots faced that morning were the same ones that had defeated Napoleon. The British forces withdrew through a lake and head out onto the Gulf. After a few days of firing on Ft. St. Phillip they left never to be seen again. Jackson was the hero of that battle because of his constant encouragement and bravery. he kept his men shooting through the hard parts of that battle and would be able to kept this nation going through hard times if they arise.

Jackson's Early Life

As a child Jackson was born on the border of North and South Carolina. At the age of 14 he lost his mother to cholera. She was nursing American soldiers held by the British back to health. His father died before he was born. Jackson was now an orphan. At the age of 13 he was in the army and was captured by the British at the Battle of Hanging Rock. When one of the British officers demanded that Andrew clean his boots Jackson refused. As a punishment he struck Jackson over the head with his saber, leaving scars for life.

Finally a President for the People

Every once in a while there comes along a president who is a great leader, knows his politics, and is a regular guy. A guy with humble beginnings, who has taken many hardships in life, and is a war hero. That guy is ANDREW JACKSON! Andrew Jackson is an ordinary guy. Jackson lost a brother in the Revolutionary War and when the British struck again in 1812, he went off to fight. He was the hero of the Battle of New Orleans and was a confident leader too. He inspired his men to give it everything they had. Jackson is a people person. Since he was once poor he knows what it is like to be hungry or work hard to get paid minimal amounts. Jackson is nothing like those rich prats Adams or Clay. They are waited on head and foot. They will only favor the rich. Andrew Jackson is for the common man. So Vote for Jackson!
